About the Program

As organizational restructuring and transition increases at an alarming pace in today’s business environment, employee loyalty in organizations also seems to be on the decline. Together, these two trends are planting the seeds for more and more internal practitioners who try to manage their internal career growth or to establish their own consulting practices. In an effort to gain greater flexibility and freedom though, many skilled practitioners try to strengthen their image internally or consider launching their own consulting practices without completely considering the challenges that await them and therefore are not able to make it on their own. This struggle ultimately causes many good consultants to take down their “shingle” in search of another internal role.

 

This two-hour workshop helps you explore the key drivers for successfully launching and managing an OD consulting practice. This applies to both internals and externals. You will learn what critical skills are needed to effectively manage and grow your image once established.
In this workshop, participants will review a powerful framework for branding their consulting practices as well as specific techniques they will need to operate and grow their reputations. The program is based on leading business practices as well as the facilitator’s critical lessons learned from being in business for more than 9 years and growing his own multi-million dollar consulting practice – not to mention being named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America by Inc magazine. The workshop focuses on enabling seasoned consultants who excel technically in their primary areas of expertise to become strong solopreneurs who also excel in running their own business operations to ensure they achieve extraordinary results.


About the Presenter

Dr. Jeremy S. Lurey is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Plus Delta Consulting, LLC. Dr. Lurey specializes in leadership and organization development and works with senior executives and business leaders to improve performance and implement positive changes in their organizations. With 17 years experience as a management consultant, he has particular expertise in strategic planning, executive and management development, change management, business process improvement, and team effectiveness. Recently named one of the Top “40 Under 40” executives of the year by The M&A Advisor, Dr. Lurey is a seasoned consultant and trusted business advisor for clients ranging from small start-ups to multi-national corporations. He received his MS and PhD degrees in Organizational Psychology and is recognized for both his thought leadership and applied consulting work with Plus Delta’s Positive Change(SM) approach. In addition to his role as a consultant, he also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Graziadio School of Business and Management and is frequently invited to speak to professional groups at international conferences and symposiums. Before establishing Plus Delta Consulting, Dr. Lurey worked at both Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting.
